Combined therapy with analogue of glucagon-like peptide 1 liraglutide and basal insulin: physiological basing, review of clinical studies and practical experience of their use

Abstract

Physiological basing, review of clinical studies and the results of own practical experience concerning the combination therapy by basal insulin and analogue of glucagon- like peptide 1 liraglutide in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus are presented in this article. Indications for such therapy, its schemes, advantages and effectiveness are  determined.
