Abstract

The cellular and molecular links between inflammation and metabolic disease such as type 1 diabetes are analyzed in the review. The data on the participation of nuclear  factor NF-кВ in the activation of T-reactive lymphocytes and in inflammatory processes of pancreas β-cells, leading to their dysfunction and apoptosis are  elucidated.
