Abstract
We present in this article the results оf our follow-up to patients aged 23-34 years with childhood onset GH deficiency. It has been shown the negative influence of long-term GH deficiency on clinical features, and metabolic and hormonal indices. Serious alterations in GH/IGF-1/IGF-BP-3 axis and lipid profile have been established. Our findings confirm that GH-deficient patients are at risk of premature atherosclerosis and cardiovascular pathology. The advisability of prolongation/renewal of recombinant GH therapy for young adults with confirmed GH-deficiency was proved. Two clinical cases were described.
